Gaza

Sometimes other people say things better than I ever could.

“Even a single night in jail is enough to give a taste of what it means to be under the total control of some external force. And it hardly takes more than a day in Gaza to begin to appreciate what it must be like to try to survive in the world’s largest open-air prison, where a million and a half people, in the most densely populated area of the world, are constantly subject to random and often savage terror and arbitrary punishment, with no purpose other than to humiliate and degrade, and with the further goal of ensuring that Palestinian hopes for a decent future will be crushed and that the overwhelming global support for a diplomatic settlement that will grant these rights will be nullified.” – Noam Chomsky – Impressions of Gaza

  1. As a an American of Lebanese descent this infuriates me. We are asked by “Christian” preachers all the time to send money to Israel. I am a Christian but there is no way in the world I would support Israel on any level in any capacity.

  2. It is saddening to see, how BBC and those mediums who have the responsibility to show the picture as it is, where ever it is, without any bias or one-sided view. In the last few days, and since this recent events unfolded in Palestine-Gaza and the state of Israel, I find that all media (including Sky, BBC and other credible media platforms) have projected the image that Tel-Aviv and Israel are under attack. They constantly emphasis on the amount of rockets fired by Hamas, but yet fail to show what damage they have caused apart from repeated news footage of days old rockets.

It’s a growing concern, and I congratulate blogs like this, who take it upon themselves to filter the bias junk and show the truth.

I also, cannot accept that these events in Palestine-Gaza and in the state of Israel are of Hamas doing, I have to accept that Gaza has been under attack not since a few days ago, but since 1948.

    Keep up the good work.
